That hat makes me think Ben Hogan – he did win 3 majors in a year once as well.
That’s a good thought Rob but, alas, in this instance it is incorrect.
That cap and time period also had me leaning to Ben Hogan. I also purchased a copy of Hogan’s Five lessons for a friend a few weeks ago. Given the hand placement and head tilt, it does seem like a golfer.
The Hogan hat is a classic distractor, but, like Rob, you’re in the right era. Perhaps brushing up on your film history might help.
