The Fan Teaser: Week 29 Solution

“Big Daddy” Don Garlits was an American original.

He was the first drag racer to take his top fuel dragster over 200 miles per hour in the quarter mile (1964) and also was the first to eclipse 240, 250, and 270-mph marks. Heck, in 2003 – at the age of 71! – he ran his fastest speed ever, 323.04 mph. This story from Forbes last month takes a Q&A approach on the now 91-year-old.
