In this episode, host Doug Hill is able to reconnect with one of his seventh-grade students, Nick Lionas, who’s now the Director of Miracle League Programs and Communications for the Easterseals of Michigan’s Macomb-Oakland Regional Center. In addition to sharing vivid memories of his first sporting event, Jim Abbott pitching for the then-California Angels against the Detroit Tigers, Nick also enlightens listeners about what The Miracle League is and how important it is to support his organization’s work.
