Host Doug Hill’s guest in this episode is a high school classmate, Gary White. Gary, an Australian native, spent his final year of high school in the U.S. where he continued to hone his craft: baseball. A left-handed hitting catcher and corner infielder, Gary always had a quiet, workmanlike way about him and, of the three Aussies who attended Lakeview High School for the 1984-85 school year, he was the one Doug related to the most. Prior to recording this episode, the two had not spoken in over 41 years.
