Just when I thought I was a little off-my-rocker by deciding to travel Around the World in 80 Sporting Events, I was introduced to a kindred spirit in Nikhil Kulkarni. Born in India but currently living and working Australia, Nikhil spent the better part of three weeks during the summer of 2024-25 attending the Border-Gavaskar Trophy cricket test matches between India and Australia in the cities of Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. That experience led to his first book, My Summer of Cricket: Three tests, one fan, and decades of stories.⁠ Nikhil shares his love for cricket and for people during our time together.
