Once upon a time, host Doug Hill was the men’s basketball beat writer for Eastern Michigan University’s student newspaper, The Eastern Echo. During those years from 1986-88, a young coach named Ben Braun guided the Hurons to the Mid-American Conference Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Doug was along for the ride. Doug and Ben hadn’t really spoken for over 35 years until this episode of Conversations.
