Doug became aware of Matt Speck when he read a July edition of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette left at his father’s home in Adams County, IN, by Doug’s sister, Christine. Along with a feature abput Pittsburgh Pirates’ star pitcher, Paul Skenes, was a lengthy piece about Matt, a muralist who happened into the world of customized footwear for NFL and MLB players. The more Doug read the more intrigued he became before reaching out to Speck via Twitter/X. The two ultimately connected and this episode is the result.
