John Yandle is either a freak of nature or someone who’s done one heck’uva job keeping himself in shape. At age 70, Yandle is finishing up his 41st season serving as a lefthanded batting practice pitcher for the San Francisco Giants. Yandle tells us he’s still able to bring the heat (albeit at 80 mph) and his location is rock solid. All-in-all, it was a fascinating Conversation with Yandle, himself a former collegiate and Minor League ballplayer who shares some of his favorite stories.
