Doug noticed some social media posts by his former NEA Board of Directors’ colleague, Jennifer Scurlock, featuring her and her husband, John, at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials at the University of Oregon’s famous Hayward Field in Eugene. Doug reached out and Jennifer nudged John to join her and the three had a ball talking about all the Scurlocks witnessed in their backyard at the Trials and what they hoped to see (on TV) during the Summer Olympics in Paris.
