Host Doug Hill has been a fan of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament dating to the 1979 Magic-Bird showdown. His fandom of the event leveled up following the 1987 tourney when CBS and the NCAA began using David Barrett‘s “One Shining Moment” as the soundtrack of a tourney’s worth of highlights. It was, therefore, a tremendous amount of fun to have David join us on Conversations and learn that his sports fan bona fides date back to his grandfather, Goodloe Rogers who played baseball at the University of Michigan with teammate George Sisler for Coach Branch Rickey.
