Doug became acquainted with Dr. Channon Washington when she was a high school social studies teacher in the district they both worked in. Washington. Doug once sat in on one of her Advanced Placement U.S. History classes and was blown away – both by the content and by the brilliance of the her teaching and her students. The conversation in this episode centers on her busy life as a sports fan of her husband, Saddi, the assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Michigan, her daughter, Sidney, who is s second year gymnast at the University of Pittsburgh, and her son.
