Brent and Doug are a bit of kindred spirits. Both grew up in Indiana (though different regions), were fans of Cincinnati’s Big Red Machine, and are both educators and union leaders. The pair served on the National Council of Urban Education Associations’ Executive Committee together for four years (Brent as President and Doug as Central Region Director) and bonded over Bourbon and stories.
