Tim and Doug first met while the pair worked at the Ann Arbor News during the early 1990s. Facebook friends in recent years, Doug recalled a post by Tim from several years ago recounting his day spent at the final round of the Masters at Augusta National Golf Club. Doug reached out to see if Tim would be open to sharing his recollections with a greater audience via “Conversations” and he agreed. It was a delight to hear the joy in Tim’s voice and reverance in Tim’s voice nearly a decade later as he discussed the opportunity to experience the course – and tournament – he’d grown up watching each year with his family.
