Zach is part of the quasi-first family of Toledo, OH, athletics. All five members of his family are in the Toledo City Athletic League Hall of Fame and Zach sipped a cup of coffee in the Major Leagues, pitching for the Colorado Rockies after a successful stop at Indiana University. In early January 2022, he accepted the athetic director position at Indiana University Purdue University Columbus where he’s currently navigating the challenges of building a program from scratch. The Conversation takes us on a journey through all parts of his life up to his present-day challenge of supporting the mental health of the IUPUC student athletes.
