Coach was referred to Doug by mutual friend, Jim Coleman, and what a referral it was. Coach is the son of Hayward Gipson Jr. the first black football player in the history of Princeton University. As a campus baby, Coach has some hazy memories of an Ivy League Championship celebration that included an appearance by Bill Bradley. He also holds court, as he might in his shop, discussing everything from Ball State football to the Indianapolis Colts to his time in the U.S. Navy.
