Doug first got to know Ian through, of all things, a podcast. Mutual friend Mike McClary’s (Episode 9) Daily Fungo podcast that was Detroit Tigers’-centric and used to include guest spots by both Doug and Ian (who also share a birthday, coincidentally). Ian’s gone on to carve out a nice niche for himself at a variety of media outlets including his current gig at Barrett Sports Media from his home in Asheville, NC. A big fan of all things Detroit and University of Michigan sports-related, Ian talks about all of during our time together.
