Dave is 1-time co-worker of Doug’s at the Ann Arbor News back in the early 1990s. A native of suburban Detroit, Dave shared his recollections of growing up in a pseudo-sports desert of the 1970s before the semi-renaissance in the mid-1980s. His timing entering MSU also wasn’t great – just missing the historic 1978-79 athletic seasons, but has been an ardent Spartan fan ever since. Prior to working in Ann Arbor, Dave worked at a smaller paper in Chillocothe, OH, and shares a few of his recollections from events witnessed there.
