Doug and traveling partner, Colin, provide a brief reflection on the New York Rangers’ game at Madison Square Garden.

Fun Facts

  • Traveling Party – Doug and his high school buddy, Colin
  • Last Time Visited – Doug was at Madison Square Garden for two Pearl Jam concerts on July 8 & 9, 2003, but had never been there for a sporting event.
  • Dual Tenant Arena – It isn’t unique for there to be co-tenants in a major arena (shoot, for several years, the Los Angeles Kings, Lakers, and Clippers all shared the same space). It is somewhat unusual for a hockey and basketball tenant to both host a game on the same day, however. This was the only time on the 2024-25 schedule the Rangers and Knicks did so. From the end of the Rangers’ game until gates opened for the Knicks’ game, crews had less-than three hours to turn MSG from hockey to basketball and get it cleaned.
