Colin Lancaster is a friend of Doug’s dating back to the mid-1980s at Lakeview High School. An elite level hockey player, Colin matriculated to Princeton University where he not only played hockey for the Tigers but also had a few classes with Brooke Shields. Several years later, while home for holiday from Marquette University’s Law School, Colin, Doug, and fellow friend Mike McClary (Season 1, Episode 9) went to see Colin’s brother’s high school hockey game and then for cooling beverages afterward at a local tavern … where Doug was introduced to his future wife by Colin.
